American Mission Style Curly Koa Bed

This custom designed and hand carved
California King Size bed was manufactured
with all “book matched” curly Koa solid
lumber applied over a substrate of African
Mahogany Hardwood. The hand carved
Hawaiian Milo wood Maile leaf motif, ebony
hardwood lock pins and the curved bottoms
on all of the bed rails reflect a merging of
the aesthetics of American Art and Crafts
period and the Hawaiiana style.
Mr. Ferla hand carved the Maile lei from Milo
wood as a representation of the interweaving
of the lives of the newly married couple that
commissioned the piece.
